This horse had quite the journey to our shop in College Park! A client commissioned this painting from the Ukraine. It was shipped from there and once it finally arrived Giovanni stretched the canvas and framed it with an industrial floater frame. The finished size was 80" x 80"! (For size comparison Giovanni is 5’11” tall.)

Ancientella is the dream work of Orlando based artist, Jenny Rose. As a vintage collector, metalsmith, and ancient jewelry researcher, her inspiration is drawn from the study of ancient artifacts, symbols, and metallurgy. Artifacts are sourced internationally, studied, and incorporated into statement jewelry for the modern collector based on their elemental and aesthetic properties.

We specialize in the research Celtic, Roman, Viking, Byzantine, Kievan Rus, Medieval and Renaissance artifacts. These artifacts have been burred for thousands of years and a great deal of restoration goes into each piece. The artifacts are legally purchased by two dealers overseas and most of the collection is found by metal detectors. Not all artifacts are intact, so this is where metalsmith techniques are used to transform multiple artifacts into one-of-a-kind timeless jewelry. Precious and semi-precious beads are used in part of the collection to enhance the uniqueness and healing properties.
